Following last weekend’s SMITE PC Super Regionals, November 10th-12th was when console teams had a chance to fight for their spot at the biggest SMITE tournament of the year. The four teams that came out on top? Strictly Business, Astral Authority, Obey Alliance and Myth Gaming have qualified for the SMITE Console World Championship 2018.
Surprisingly enough, the most electrifying match of the event was between two teams who didn’t qualify: CAZ Esports and SoaR Gaming. SoaR, who many thought was a shoo-in for Worlds, ended up dropping a game to CAZ Esports. Without that win, SoaR didn’t have enough points to shove their way into the tournament. Prior to that match, CAZ had lost every game and had zero points. Regardless of whether or not you know the outcome, fans are calling it one of the best matches in SMITE history.
