June 21’s SMITE Pro League matches canceled

A tweet from the official account for the SMITE professional scene announced June 21’st EU SMITE Pro League matches are canceled “due to major technical issues.”

In May, SMITE developer Hi-Rez Studios created a new esports production company called Skillshot Media that is outfitted with its own broadcast studio. Presumably, the technical issues arose during production.

The canceled match-ups are Team Dignitas vs. NRG and Team Rival vs. Mousesports. The games will not rebroadcast. NRG support EmilZy posted VODs of his team’s games on his YouTube channel for anyone interested in watching the matches.

Hi-Rez indicates the June 22 SPL matches should proceed as planned.
