EUnited Invitational All-Stars event announced

SMITE’s Summer Finals are over, but there is still one LAN left: the eUnited Invitational All-Stars event. The Invitational sees four SPL captains drafting other SPL players onto all-star teams. Pros will also test their mettle in a SMITE match against Skillshot Media, SMITE developer Hi-Rez Studios’ esports subsidiary, employees.

PolarBearMike, KalaS, JeffHindla and CaptainTwig are the captains of the Juggernauts, Manticores, Titans and Minotaurs respectively. The catch? Each captain must draft one player from eUnited, the 2018 SWC winners.

To spice rosters up even more, the rules dictate that captains can’t pick more than two players from any one SPL team (including their own) and no more than three players from their own region (including themselves).

The event is broken down into two days with pros playing a best-of-five against Skillshot employees on Saturday, August 11. The eUnited Invitational main event starts Sunday, August 12 with a single-elimination bracket, best-of-three semifinals and best-of-five grand finals. Teams are seeded in order of the captain’s SWC 2018 placing (Juggernauts, Manticores, Titans then Minotaurs). The draft will also be broadcast live Thursday, August 9.
