SMITE servers were brought down for all platforms Monday morning to address some longtime issues.
Client- and server-side crashes were first on the list, although SMITE developer Titan Forge says the crashing users have been experiencing is a “super complicated issue.” If Monday’s patch doesn’t fix the crashing directly, the developer believes the code implemented with the patch to help track the issue will find the cause of the problem.
The maintenance should also fix the bug in the SMITE PC version of the lobby chat box not showing up. Without the chat box, during the pregame phase, players are unable to discuss team composition or who will play which role.
Lastly, the hot fix added code to help Titan Forge monitor issues with the Daily Deals, which are still a relatively new feature.Follow @SMITEScrub
